David is the firm's senior partner. He holds four academic degrees: a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in 1980, a J.D. from Drake University in 1983, an LL.M. from the Judge Advocate General's School of the U.S. Army in 1992, and a Master's Degree in Strategic Studies from the prestigious Army War College in 2006. The L.L.M. degree is a Master of Laws Degree, something very few lawyers attain. David's concentration was in contract law. After serving as an Army J.A.G.C. officer on active duty for nine years and 21 years as a reservist, David retired as a Colonel in 2010. With over 35 years of trial experience as a defense attorney and as a prosecutor for the Army, as well as a private practitioner, David has an unparalleled wealth of trial experience. In 1989, with the help of Dr. Henry Lee, later known for his work on the O.J. Simpson case, David prosecuted the first case in a federal court in which D.N.A. evidence was admitted into evidence.

Christine was raised in Boone, Iowa. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration cum laude with marketing department honors from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, in 1980. Christine graduated from Drake Law School with her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1983. Christine practiced law in Elizabethtown and Louisville, Kentucky, and Charlottesville, Virginia, before returning to Iowa. She is a qualified Iowa Title Guaranty Attorney and is fidelity bonded to handle real estate closings for realtors and third-party lenders. In addition to real estate law, Christine practices primarily in bankruptcy and contested civil matters. She is the firm's managing partner.
